 Technology Introduction 

KTU is a precision identification platform for microorganisms and probiotics, built on DNA k-mer frequency features and machine learning. For amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) generated by 16S rRNA sequencing, this technology further re-clusters sequences while preserving the advantages of high resolution and error correction. At the same time, it reduces the overestimation of alpha diversity and the dispersion of biological signals caused by intraspecies variation. By constructing microbial sequence fingerprints based on k-mer frequencies and integrating K-medoids clustering, KTU identifies microbial analytical units with greater biological and taxonomic relevance. This platform can be applied to gut microbiota analysis, evaluation of probiotic intervention efficacy, strain typing, product quality control, and association analyses with clinical or environmental parameters, helping probiotic and microbiome-related products establish more precise and credible scientific evidence.
