﹤Smart Manufacturing﹥Small Object Clips

I-SHOU University / Prof. Jiann Lin Chen

 Pain Points Solved

The hand tool of this invention features a modular design, allowing for easy replacement of the clip and weighing unit to suit different working environments and objects, and facilitating subsequent maintenance, thus offering superior applicability. Furthermore, the core structure can be manufactured using 3D printing, improving precision and significantly reducing manufacturing costs. The interplay of gears and toothed components enables highly precise manual control of the clip's opening and closing angle, facilitating the stable gripping of small, easily lost, or fragile electronic components, and even preventing damage to the object being gripped. Therefore, this hand tool is easy to manufacture, simple in structure, widely applicable, and provides precise gripping, making it highly valuable in the field of micro-object gripping.

 Technology Introduction

The hand tool of this invention features a detachable and assembling design, as simulated in the computer-aided solid modeling (CAD) diagrams within the following product technical illustrations. The design of the toothed rack at the front end of this hand tool is related to the mounting direction of the gripping body and the clip. To achieve detachability and replaceability, the plane of the toothed rack must be parallel to the body. The portion following item 5 in the product technical illustrations connects to the upper push-support module. When the module is pushed, the entire push rod can move, allowing the toothed rack to advance and open or close the clip. It also provides support for the elastic components, limiting the movement to the desired position. Furthermore, to provide directional stability during pushing, a rectangular design is adopted to increase the surface contact area with the reserved space of the gripping body.
