Southern Taiwan Gloria

The Ministry of Science and Technology has established "Gloria," Global Research and Industry Alliance program for encouraging domestic first-class universities to closely integrate academic research energy with industry needs and further promote to the international market. Promoted by the "Global Research and Industry Alliance" program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Southern Taiwan Gloria has officially established. Its members are led by National Sun Yat-sen University, combining with Kaohsiung Medical University, National Kaohsiung University, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, and I-Shou University. The five universities in the alliance are committed to closely integrating academic research with industry needs, seeking channels to solve industry problems, promoting scholarly research results commercialization, and creating the largest capacity for industry and academia. At the same time, with the help of the well-known IN-PART international technology transfer platform, the research results of the five universities will be integrated with international standards and jointly build a global cooperation platform.

Industrial Liaison Office (ILO) is responsible for the operation office of the alliance. The members of ILO are mainly coming from the industry; they integrate the consultant teams and southern Taiwan school-level research centers to provide the service. In addition, the alliance recruits international and domestic corporate members. Through the operation of the membership system and cooperation with domestic and foreign companies, academic research can achieve multiplying effects, create social benefits and industrial value, and enable companies to become partners in the promotion of research and development achievements and value-added services of universities in southern Taiwan.
