Aphthous ulcers are a common ulcerative disease of the oral mucosa. The surface of an oral ulcer is typically covered by a layer of yellow-gray pseudomembrane, composed mainly of fibrin exudates and necrotic tissue, which may block drug permeation. Therefore, this technology utilizes catechol groups to modify hyaluronic acid, preparing a sticky dopamine-hyaluronic acid derivative as the patch substrate. Simultaneously, Vitamin B2 is added to the patch substrate to create a stomatitis microneedle patch. Through painless microneedle puncture, it breaks through the pseudomembrane barrier, thereby transporting the drug on the patch to the epithelial mucosal layer to promote the repair of oral ulcers.
Technology Introduction
This technology utilizes dopamine to modify hyaluronic acid to synthesize an adhesive derivative. Using microneedles as a transdermal drug delivery pathway, an adhesive and biodegradable microneedle patch was developed, incorporating licorice extract and Vitamin B2 into the microneedle patch.

Application Examples
Using catechol groups to modify hyaluronic acid to prepare a sticky dopamine-hyaluronic acid derivative as the patch substrate; simultaneously adding Vitamin B2 to the patch substrate to prepare a microneedle patch for stomatitis.
